My cat took a liking to it. Maybe likes the slight vibration, like purring?

It is really annoying that my product did not come with the safety cover. That was my whole reason for buying it.

So, my Coonhound, Channing had not been afraid of having her nails clipped until a vet tech hit her quick at some given time of which I was not aware. Since that time I have had to hear her cry out in sheer panic and fear that she was going to get hurt again. I kept thinking this will pass. It didn’t. I tried medication prior to taking her. It did nothing. I knew I had to do something to help rehabilitate her and recondition her as she’s only 2 and has gigantic black nails … Very hard to see the quick which was the original problem. I read everything I could to figure out how to help her. This was the solution. I am doing her nails now at home as I don’t ever want her to feel that scared again. Basically I began very slowly with a clicker and a frozen peanut butter treat I fashioned from an empty peanut butter container. I place some peanut butter in the plastic jar and freeze it. I get her ony bed or a bench I have where her paws hang over a bit and I click the training clicker and then let her lick the peanut butter frozen jar. I did this for a week. Gradually I had the Dremel and would click, lick and turn it on. Then after a couple days, I would click, lick, turn it on and gently touch her with it. After several nights, as long as she can lick, I can trim! It’s a very slow rehab but I had no choice. I actually did her left paw entirely tonight. It holds power fine, it’s gentle so you have to be patient, and I just put it back on a charge after each trim. Some nights, I do 2 or 3 nails … It’s about conditioning her to tolerate getting her nails trimmed. This tool did the job perfectly 👌. Patience is required and my baby is worth the wait.

This grinder Is small, lightweight, easy to grip, almost completely silent, and super effective. I have an 80 pound 26 inch tall boxer\pointer mix, he is very anxious and has very sensitive feet and this grinder does not bother him in the slightest. I am able to grind his nails without any help which is awesome. the head is small enough to get his dew claws easily as well. the charger works great and each charge lasts at least long enough to do all four paws twice. great grinder for the value, at a pet store these go for 50-100 dollars. the “guide” is removable if you feel comfortable with using it without the guide hole (I do) this also makes it easy to clean off. over all 10/10 an awesome product. * I did not receive any discount of free merchandise for my review, this is just my real and honest opinion as a dog owner who cant get near her dog with traditional clippers*

My 115lb dog is deathly afraid of having her nails clipped, even at the groomers (maybe especially at the groomers because I’m not there, the big baby). I read the reviews for this grinder and thought I’d give it a go…It’d be cheaper than paying for nail clipping that never got finished! Anyway, I am more than pleased with the grinder…the dog was also skeptical at first but with our 6 year old rubbing her belly, she endured the torture and I finally was able to get her nails done. The grinder held its charge for quite a while and is very effective. The dog did not freak out at all like she does when we get the nail clippers out, so I highly recommend this product.

I have the original version and now this new one. I thought the original was fabulous. This one is a step above. The new version is slightly shorter and a little wider at the bottom of a tapered handle along with an LED light. These are all wonderful improvements with no sacrifice to the already quiet and stellar performance of the original. The light allows greater precise and care grinding down the nails of the dog’s paws. It is actually a safety feature insuring that you have a better view so you don’t grind the nails too short or catch the fur between the toes on the dog’s paws. The new tapered handle allows a good grip on the grinder and makes it easier to make sure you consistently grind the nails cleanly and safely. I am impressed with these improvements to an already stellar product. I was always nervous about trimming the nails on my 3 Pembroke Welsh Corgis. I became more confident with the original and I am even calmer and feel better about doing their nails with this new version. It is critical with the Corgi breed to have their nails trimmed or it could adversely impact the manner in which they walk. This tool does a great job and if I am calmer they are calmer. The quiet grinder is really important since it is not upsetting my dogs. The entire process of nail trimming works well with this grinder.

I cannot believe how well this works. I’ve been using another for years and I thought it was time to get one with a light so I didn’t have to hold a flashlight with my mouth to groom my dog’s nails. I’m so glad I chose this one. It’s super quiet. The light is perfectly placed. And it grinds so fast I’m getting done in about 1/4 the time it used to take me, which, of course, my dog appreciates. BUY THIS. You will NOT be sorry.

Purchased due to the groomer being closed during quarantine. Highly recommend! My Pomeranian mixed hates loud sounds and vibrations this trimmer provided minimal vibrations and it wasn’t loud. The bonus was the light on the grinder it allowed me to clearly see where to stop. Now if I could just get cutting her hair down packed I wouldn’t need to go to the groomer anymore 🙂

The tool is great! My rottweiler and doberman are just spaz cases. Imagine my beefy husband getting down on the floor to comfort the “big scary dogs” while I try to get a few micrometers of nail ground down so people don’t think I am neglecting my precious babies due to most groomers being impacted by covid. I cannot just walk into PetSmart with 200+ pounds of dog for Pawdicures anymore. So.. the tool is great, my dogs are just not used to giving up professional spa days that they have previously been afforded. Time to spit the silver spoons out, pups!

Great for getting closer to the quick of the cat’s nails. My cat is a fighter, so she did take notice of the noise when I would turn the trimmer on. However, for something to spin so fast, noise wasn’t a drawback. You do have to get the right technique down. Otherwise it could take a long time to trim.. Overall, great tool. Glad I bought it. FYI: It will make “pet nail” dust.

This pet nail grinder leaves our dogs nails smooth with no rough edges. It works well for my puppy as she hates loud noise- it operates very quietly. It is easy to use and I can get a good grip on it so there are no slip ups or accidents. It files the dogs nails down without any clipping and the possibility of cutting too low where it could hurt the dog. The battery life is good, one full charge will keep this grinder operating for many continuous uses. Our dog is a full grown German Shepard and it does well on her thicker, quite large nails.

Overall I really like this nail grinder. I was using a Dremel to grind my dog’s nails, but that is very loud and does not have a safety guard since it really isn’t meant for that purpose. This tool is very quiet and does a pretty good job for a battery powered tool. It isn’t as strong as a Dremel, which is to be expected. It does not come with batteries and it takes two C batteries so keep that in mind since that is kind of an odd battery size and you may not have any of these on hand. It comes with extra sanding bits so that was a nice surprise. Would recommend for dogs that are scared by loud noises or by traditional pet nail clippers.

This mail trimmer is an “ok” product. If you need something for a medium to large size dog, I wouldn’t suggest this product. It is not powerful enough to handle thick nails. It does come with replacement heads, but they are the same grit. I would have to sit and work on my dogs claws one at a time for about a half an hour EACH nail with this trimmer. Granted, I have a min-doxie, but his claws are about as thick as a medium size dog.

*I used this grinder on dogs that had pretty long nails (I call them raptor claws!!!)*I have two dogs, a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Flat Coated Retriever. My Flat Coated Retriever is uber calm. The Nail Grinder scared him at first, but he chilled out and let me do his nails. My Ridgeback is not calm at all. I tried to take her to Petsmart and they could not even get a muzzle on her. The guy there tried to trim her nails without a muzzle, poor decision dude. She nipped at him. I totally warned him so it was his fault. I usually have to take her to the vet to trim her nails. One time we went to the vet and they asked me and my mom to help. It took four of us to hold her down, and she still rolled around like an alligator! It got so bad that my vet prescribed her tranquilizers. I got tired of dosing her each time I took her to the vet. (Its kindof scary because when she gets home she is dead to the world!!!)I decided to give this thing a try. Mind you she is so skidish that I have to distract her with a bone to even comb her hair. I took it slow, gave her a bone, and she let me do it!!! What a god send!!!My only complaint is that it takes a while to get used to. You have to press the nail just right. If you press too hard the nail grinder stops. If you press too soft it doesn’t grind (as you would expect.)Overall I found it helpful!!!

I have a very anxious springer spaniel. We were using a dremil tool that was loud and had a cord. This is cordless and quiet

This is great for my chihuahua’s and yorkie,so much better than clippers(which I just don’t like)…..it’s not very loud and trims nails fairly quickly, I reccomend having one person hold the pup and one person doing the trimming.Skittish animals may not like it but my dogs and guinea pig are not too bothered by it.All in all,it’s worth the price I’m very happy with it.

I’ve used several of these types of products over the years. I thought this product would work better because of the type of drum it uses. However like all the other’s…this is still really meant for dogs with thin nails. I have a 25 pound Doxel, and a 65 pound (pit mix). The larger dog’s nails are way too thick for this product…except as a simple file for the edges after you use clippers. I wanted something that would file the nails down without clipping (my dog has black nails, and can’t see the inner part). I have to say that the wireless Dremel 7300 with an 80-60 grit sandpaper roll on it does the trick on really thick nails without an issue at all.

I tried this grinder after ONLY using Pedi-Paws on my Buffy. The last one died with a horrible screeching sound. Anyway……….POWERFUL !! Took less than half the time as it used to. VERY quiet motor on 1. A bit loud on 2, but Buffy was still calm.I read the manual, so even with taking my time ’cause new machine, STILL done fast. Also, Buffy had NEVER EVER been as calm as she was this time. Thank you for that.I just got it, just used it. I like it a lot.Only 4 stars because……..The grindings fall out of the unused holes in the safety shield, and fell all over Buffy and me. Sad I’m gonna have to fix your product by putting packing tape over the unused holes.PEDI-PAWS HAS YOU BEAT THERE. Never had stuff fly out, always clean.TIP for the bands: there is a small screw at the top of the wheel where the grinding band goes. Unscrew / remove it and the little metal disk, THEN put the band on, and reverse procedure. If you just force the bands over the wheel, you will stretch the bands and they probably will slip on you.

Ok, In the past I bought one of those nail grinders on TV like this one. It was a POS. I had a very negative opinion of this types of battery device to trim my dogs nails. But I relented and purchased this one. This is the best . At first my dog was skittish but then she became used to it. The high-speed works like a champ. The sanding disc only turns in one direction therefore you have to articulate the trimmer according to the direction of the sanding wheel. With the curvature of the now. For instance in your right hand for One Direction and in your left hand for the other direction. You have to be careful that the small dogs nails don’t get caught between the sanding wheel and the plastic outer casing. I highly recommend this product.

Terrible product. 1- Motor is not powerful enough for medium-large sized dog nails. 2-the grinder rod does not securely stay in the unit, so when its on, the grinder moves up and down, resulting in an uneven nail file/grind. Very low quality product, had mine for about a year, used it twice and just threw it out to save some space. Do not waste your money on this crappy Oster product!!!!

The item is well built, easy to hold, works great, very little noise. I have 4 cats and I cut their nails with a nail clipper so they are used to nail trimming. When I cut their nails I don’t like how ragged the edges are so I bought this device with the idea that it will live them with a smooth finish kind like when you file your nails. Unfortunately, for my cats this device is useless. It takes a bit too long even in the 2nd speed to get the results I want. Maybe if you want to take just a bit of the nail point off this might work for you, but if you want them to have a bit of a shorter nail so you don’t end up doing it every day, then this device takes way too long to trim a longer nail. My cats didn’t have the patience to stay put for the time needed to achieve a good trim. I was thinking to keep it just to file their nails after I trim them but it’s too much work. I’m happy when they stay put just to get all nails trimmed in one seating 🙂 I would recommend for the fact that it is a nice product if your animal is patient and doesn’t mind seating for a longer period of time for nail trimming. Some animals do and some don’t. Out of my 4 cats one doesn’t mind the other 3 I have to stop and talk to them after doing 1-2 nails, and I’ve been doing it since they were young. Try it, you migh like it. One thing I want to mention, I bought this one because I liked the design of the item, the shape of it it’s easier to hold in your hand versus a straight design that I’ve seen on other models.

My Maximillion desires to do his own grooming. But he is also very playful. Because of COVID he has been unable to make his regular appts for nail cutting, and playtime is painful for me. I tried to cut his nails with the manual clippers and he is not having it. I have only heard him hiss twice and both times was when trying to use the manual clippers. After finding out the groomer has gone up from $10 to $25 due to COVID, I decided to make this purchase, which is under $25 To my amazement he sat quietly while 2 of us worked on him. The second time I used them, I only did front paws and he allowed me to do it w!o anyone elses assistance. Very quiet and rechargeable. This is a keeper.

Ordered this based on recommendation from a friend-and Ttly happy I listened to her! It’s amazing! Quiet, ez, and took super fast. My puppy loved it:) compared to any others-I love this one the absolute best! Nail trimming can take forever and be sucha draining process but with this awesome little cool tool-it makes it so much more pleasant.-even enjoyable.Try it for yourself!

High powered tool makes grinding nails quick and easy. A little practice needed ti use it smoothly without startling the dog but it wasn’t as bad as many others I’ve tried. I especially like that it doesn’t need batteries. Great Value!

I should’ve listened to the other review about this pet grinder being too noisy before buying because my cat also hears it and she is terrified! Other than that the product works as intended but getting my cat to warm up to it will be a challenge.Kiket, please consider modifying your product to be more cat friendly.

I felt bad about gluing plastic to my cats nails and clipping them intimidated me, but this seemed to be a good solution that doesn’t freak my cat out much

The product works great. I’ve tried clippers, peanut butter, treats, praising, scolding, and everything else to calm my mini bully with little success. She is naturally skittish and is not a fan of the nail trimming despite my mastery level at this point. With this trimmer I did as instructed and got her used to the noise, which was easy. Unfortunately when she figured out it was a nail trimmer, she turned into a raving lunatic. Before even getting the trimmer close to her she bucked like a bull, rolled over to fight as if MMA style, and turned her speed level up to sonic the hedgehog. The trimmers do work, however if you have a arrogant narcissistic egomaniac packaged in a false mans best friend little package….I prefer the full Nelson with a ninja type stalking before hand. Good luck!

It’s a great low noise nail grinder. But the grinding wheel is a coarse one and can not be changed. For one of my bigger dog (20 lbs), it was ok, but for the other two smaller ones, it was too coarse. It would be nice if there is a finer grinding wheel available and interchangeable.

My dog hates nail clippers, and I’ve developed a certain antipathy to them myself after regularly finding myself in a Greco-Roman style throw-down just trying to trim her demon claws. It would take 30+ minutes to do one paw, and I’d gotten desperate, especially in lockdown. At one point, I think I pulled a muscle.Oh, and she has those dark nails, and I’m far-sighted…also aging…also teaching online and so starting to develop what feels like perpetual eyestrain. My perky optician (who seems practically fetal, she’s so young) has told me, “You’re getting older — and your eyes are REALLY getting older.” Suffice to say, it’s hard to see her quicks (the dog’s, not the optician’s), so I also worry about cutting the nails too short.I wasn’t too hopeful about the grinder, to be honest — this monster-slash-princess of mine doesn’t even like moisture touching her feet — but I decided to give this grinder a try since it had the LED light. Frankly, I’m not coordinated enough to hold a cutting implement AND a light AND my dog’s paw in position, so consolidation was needed, and this seemed to fit the bill.I put laid her on her back against the couch cushions — it’s easier for me to see what I’m doing, and she’s less likely to walk away — and turned this on. She barely seemed to register the fact it was there. When I went to work on the nails, she put up minimal resistance, and that really just seemed like a formality on her part — a nod to tradition, if you will.We both seem happy. Her, because she’s basically getting a mani-pedi (pedi-pedi?) on the regular. Me, because I can see what I’m doing (I love you, LED), can quick-check regularly and easily as I go, and am not finding myself stuck at angles that would puzzle even a mathematician trying to get these nails cut.Of course, I wouldn’t mind a mani-pedi, too — but this’ll do for now.

I really like that this nail clipper combines the nail cutting and grinding function in one, very ease to use, with comfortable handle. I am using this together with the small cat nail clipper to fulfill all the needs for my dog’s nail. I used to take him to professional nail cutting every month as I cannot do it by myself. I tried it with this clipper and it worked for the 1st time! I am very happy that I don’t need take him to salon now during this pandemic, which also saves me some $$. Very happy with the purchase!

We have a small dog who hates getting his nails clipped, but using this product is by far the easiest way to do it! I have always used a regular dremel tool to shorten his nails, but this was so much better. It’s quiet and effective. The light makes it much easier to see what I’m doing, and having the combination clipper/grinder is convenient. Oliver never likes getting a puppy pedi and usually hides for several hours afterwards but this time he didn’t . I would highly recommend this product to anyone even if they have never used this type of grooming tool.

Okay, maybe it’s been there but it’s new to me. The Dremel is quite, effective, lighted, and doesn’t seem to hurt. The Clippers are perfect, lighted and actually collects the clippings. We have three pitbulls that are NOT into manicures but this is the best thing we have found yet

Customer Reviews

Light weight, quiet, and seemed to be quality tool. Dog would lay around it, sniff it, lick it, and no big deal until we turned it on. She then ran away. She is a rescue dog, so maybe the motor made her skiddish or there is a whine only she hears that bothers her. Not sure. Suspect the latter, though, since the motor is so quiet to our ears.

This WAS a wonderful product. Or so I thought. As of 1/31 can no longer return. A couple of week later it stopped working. No issues. No funny sounds. No warning. Just does absolutely nothing. How often do you do your dogs for nails? So how much use did it get? When to do nails the other day. When to turn it on – nothing! Okay…..battery dead? Recharged. Turned it on. Before i could bring it to the nail, again, it had stopped. Tried recharging again. Nothing.

Great product for dogs with long hair. Thr battery doesn’t last as long as I’d like, but I have big dogs.Prior to this I owned a personal dremel, but it was always getting stuck and painfully ripping out hair. This is a great solution.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I think it is worth it!!! I have a 3 year old dachshund and my manicure has always been rough! I stumbled upon this and wanted to try it. It took only 5 minutes to complete all four paws!

Worked out great! My skittish dog actually relaxed once she realized It didn’t hurt

Worked very well and fast. It was quiet so did not disturb my pet. Came with an extra grinding attachment. Pleased!

Pleased!

This is the best dog nail grinder- and I’ve tried them all, from manual guillotine clippers, to Dremel, to various versions of this nail grinder. Our 85lb German Shepherd puppy is not a fan of getting his nails done (or sitting still!), but I just finished all 4 feet in about 15 minutes- and he was almost a month overdue, so his nails were LONG! (I usually try to trim his feet every 1-2 weeks).A few banana kablamma treats and 15-ish minutes later, he’s happy because I was able to grind his nails in the dark when he was tired from the day, and I’m happy because I no longer hear his nails on my hardwood floors. Here’s why this is the best nail grinder:-QUICK CHARGE: it was delivered and within a few hours, the red blinking light telling me it was charging (via USB) had turned green, telling me it was charged and ready to go-EASILY REMOVABLE CAP FOR LARGE DOGS: If you have a smaller dog, there’s an opening that can be used as a nail guide, but for my GSD & other big dogs, pop the cap off and the diamond grinder is about the width of his nail- 2 SPEEDS: big dogs have big, hard nails, and since he’s used to a grinder, I immediately flipped it to the highest speed. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is- he didn’t even look up from eating his Kablammas when I turned it on, and the sound of his nail being trimmed didn’t bother him at all. This thing is FAST and I was able to finish all 4 feet in about 15 minutes! (a word of caution if your dog’s nails are super long and require more time per nail- it spins so fast, it can get hot if you don’t rotate between nails. The heat is good because it causes the quick to retract within the nail so you can trim them shorter, but pay attention to how hot it’s getting if you’re on one nail for too long)-the LIGHTS are game-changers: This is why you buy this grinder instead of another one. I have been using the grinder with a single light, and while it’s awesome, having a light on each side means I can hold the grinder in any direction and still have the light where I need it. No more bright overhead light that excites your dog- Bear has played hard most of the day, and he was resting and relaxing when the grinder finished charging. I was able to trim his nails in the dimly lit room and keep him calm because the grinder lights shine only on his nail- not his eyes, not my eyes,- it shines only and exactly where I need to see. Don’t need the light? An added new feature is the ability to turn the light off, which is also great so you’re not burning the bulb unless you need it.Honestly? The only negative thing I have to say about this grinder is the color- but I hate orange, so I’m totally biased about it being black and orange. HOWEVER, it’s a dog nail grinder, and IT WORKS GREAT, so buy it even if you hate the color. Don’t pay someone to trim your dog’s nails- even if you have a big dog who doesn’t like having it done. One trip to the groomer is more than you’ll pay to try this grinder, and you’ll use it at least once/ week because it’s so easy to use, and that will help your dog become even more accustomed to it. Just have a few of your dog’s favorite treats handy, because by the time they finish the snack, you’ll have finished their nails.

I have used several nail grinders for my small dog, and this Casfuy grinder with the LED lights is, by far, my favorite. It does the job quickly, even on the lower speed, but I love having the option of the higher speed to go even a little faster. I like to grind my dog’s nails about once a week — that way, just a quick swipe or two on each nail is about all that is needed. The grinder is quiet and does not bother my dog. The LED lights near the grinding head are so helpful! So far, it holds a charge well, and I like the fact that when it is charging, a light blinks, but when it is fully charged the light is steady. I would definitely buy this grinder again, and I am happy to recommend it to others.

This nail grinder caught my attention because it was my favorite color Orange 🍊 lol. I read the reviews and they had enough possitive reviews for me to purchase and not only is the color pretty it works great. My dog was used to the noise because before purchasing this grinder I was using a human pedicure grinder that’s used on the heels of human feet. I would normally first use a dog nail clipper and then use the pedicure grinder to smooth the nail round so they’re not sharp and jagged. Now I can do his nails in one step with this grinder. But if you’re using it on a first timer I suggest you gradually introduce the grinder to your dog coaching with treats until he/she gets used to it because all though the noise level isn’t extremely loud it’s still a noise and can be scary to a dog and the feeling of vibration takes some getting used to. And another suggestion if you have an extremely anxious dog have a 2nd person help you hold their head while giving rubs so your dog doesn’t try to lick the tip of the grinder when it’s on because it might cut their tongue. I use a breathable mesh dog muzzle on my dog while doing his nails for added safety. But once your dog gets used to it , trimming his/her nails will be a breeze thereafter. I’m really glad I made this purchase and I just hope it continues to work over time. One of my pet peeves is making a purchase and it works great at first then 2-3 months later it stops working and by then it’s no longer under a return warranty so I hope this item stands the test of time. So far so good. 👍🏽 🧡🐾
