I’m new to the pet grooming game and I recently rescued a Persian cat of which needs constant grooming. He came with some matting and I tried scissors and even pet hair clippers but was afraid I’d cut his skin. This tool worked as advertised and myself and my cat Fatty are very pleased.

I have 2 Newfoundlands and the summer shed had just begun. They shed faster than my daily vacuuming can keep up with, but the summer shed made it infinitely worse. I wish this brush were wider with more teeth to the comb, but it is still a great product. In about an hour I had pulled off a pile of hair as big as my 150lb puppy. He is happier and cooler, and I am happy that all that fur is not on my floors, clothes, furniture, and walls!

My dogs love this. As for mats, it took a lot to even get a little one out. It was easier to just give my dog a big hair cut because it was making her uncomfortable. As for brushing however, it did a great job! It gets a lot of the undercoat out and my dog loved every second of it. Every time I would stop for just a few seconds she would just look at me and wait for me to keep brushing her and as soon as I would start again she would almost snore.

Disclaimer – I’m a veterinarian, so I know way too much about different brushes and grooming implements.I have always had a love-hate relationship with slicker brushes… love because they’re effective and comfortable, and HATE because they are the absolute biggest pain in the butt to clean, especially without damaging the thin bristles, or bending them in such a way that they poke the animal uncomfortably. Now, I have a longhaired senior cat who has twice had to go under anesthesia for removal of massive hairballs. The last time, he received an Rx for a haircut from his Internal Medicine specialist. So we have been on an intensive hair management program – but he hates being brushed. So I’m constantly going through various brushes and combs. My go-to is the Furminator, but my main gripes with it are that it is uncomfortable for the cat (pulls his skin excessively at times) and its blades, even on the long-hair version, fill up with nearly every swipe. It is easy to clean, but when I have a squirming, annoyed cat in one hand, it is difficult to be constantly cleaning the blade out. But it absolutely pulls the most shed hair and undercoat with each swipe. This brush is 10x more comfortable for my cat, while still pulling a decent amount of shed hair. Cleaning it is AMAZING – just press the button, pull the pad of hair off, and it doesn’t fill up until after nearly a full session of brushing. It is not taking off as much hair as the Furminator, but the fact that he doesn’t get instantly annoyed and thus I can brush for longer and create a more positive experience for him is important.

I brushed off enough cat hair to have another cat. I would recommend this brush if you want to brush your fur babies bald. It won’t actually ever happen, them being bald, but it is so satisfying to see that fur pile up next you as you spend 30 minutes brushing your cat or dog. I’m starting to think Porkins doesn’t even have any skin, she must be made entirely of fur as it NEVER ENDS. She’s completely passed out now from all the brushing, she loved it. The push button to retract the bristles is fantastic and makes for easy clean up! Totally worth every penny, and I’m sure Porkins would agree as well, if she understood the basic concept of monetary values.UPDATE // 3 years have passed since I’ve purchased and reviewed this product. I used it extensively the brush has now come across an issue. I can’t say its the brush itself that is at fault, maybe it’s the constant push of the button to clear the fur that just couldn’t keep up with me, but the push button has now evolved into the strongest thumb workout ever. The resistance the button gives added a new feature to this brush that not only requires what I would measure as the strength of ten teenagers combined (9 of which are looking at their phones while the remaining one sadly their phone has died) has now forced me to realise my own weakness by testing my thumb strength. Some days I have to use BOTH of my thumbs to push down (quitters never win and winners never quit) until I feel that satisfying click as it locks into place. Other days my thumbs are so fatigued I can not bother to retract the bristles and opt for the age old method of cleaning the bristles manually (but those who never win AND never quit are filled with disappointment). 3 years and I still use this brush despite the easy fur removal hindered, possibly obsolete. I’d still recommend this brush as it reaches the undercoat of your fur overlords when they demand their daily brushing therapy.

I have had multiple dog brushes with these types of wires before. The best part about this brush is that the wires actually go back inside the brush when you’re not using it. It makes it easy to clean so you’re not bending in the wires while you’re trying to get the hair out and it also makes it so the wires don’t get bent when they’re just in your basket or your drawer or where ever you keep your dogs brushes. Because the wires go back inside it protects them so that when you need to use it it does not scratch your dog. Excellent product highly recommend it to anyone with the pets especially who needs regular brushing!

This product is absolutely magical, I dont what it has that other products dont 🤔,I have a Persian and Turkish mix baby and it’s very difficult to maintain her long hair ,with that said she absolutely hate Brushes until I bought her this ,now instead of asking for treats to eat brushing her hair is a treat for her ,I brush her everyday and she loves it .if you have a long hair furbaby you should definitely try this .it will change your life .

My cat hates to be brushed – go figure – but with this brush she actually enjoys it. She prefers rubbing up against it to get those places that are tough for her to scratch, but she will allow me to brush the rest of her to get rid of the lose hair she is shedding. With the button, it is easy to push the brushed hair to the edge of the bristles where you can easily peel it off to clean the brush.

This brush works really well! My kitten just sits there when I brush her with it. I like that it has the little balls at the end of the bristles, so it doesn’t hurt her when I’m brushing. I love that you can just push the button in on the back and it helps you release all the hair.

The only brush I’ll ever use for my German Shepherd. I had a $60 Furminator brush that broke on me. I bought this for less than 1/4 of what I had paid for my Furminator, and it works every bit as well.

Used this brush for the first time today- it was amazing!!

Needless to say, I now have two cats.

The only brush I’ll ever use for my German Shepherd. I had a $60 Furminator brush that broke on me. I bought this for less than 1/4 of what I had paid for my Furminator, and it works every bit as well.

Used this brush for the first time today- it was amazing!!

I have a long-haired Ginger with an attitude, so grooming is never an easy job. And when I say attitude, he’s given me a concussion and keeps the liquid bandages flowing. It has been suggested I rename him “Homeless.” And while I have to use more serious equipment when he gets a matted section, this little thing is the first brush he’s not only tolerated, but has yet to draw blood as I use it. So two thumbs up to prevent shedding. And despite his unruly attitude, I’m not renaming him Homeless. The brush is a soft, flexible rubber/plastic. And if this little jerk will tolerate it, I’m sure a normal cat will love it.

I’ve been looking at this item for a little less than a year. Thinking there’s no way in the world this works. I brought several brushes and a Furminator. Some brushes helped and some didn’t do [email protected]#$. The furnminator was excellent for the undercoat although my siamese doesnt like it but I still use it because it’s necessary. But in between the furnminator I needed something to help the flying fur. As I stated in kept looking and looking and always saw this item. I would read reviews and videos and was convinced there’s no way. Well with the amount of money I’ve spent I was like what’s a few more dollars to use on something that’s not going to work. So I ordered this. When it came in was happy and hopeful but still knowing it woukdbt work. I read the directions. It said to prevent fur from flying wet the brush first. I did. I ended up with 4 handfuls of fur. OMG!!!! I thought my siamese was gaining weight. Ummmm no FUR FUR NO FAT FUR!! I did end up with fur all over the floor and myself however wetting it helped and I should have kept wetting it after every glob of hair but I didnt. I am shocked. I can’t freaking believe it. Please BUY this thing. Don’t be like me waiting a year wasting money on crap. This works! Stupid me but I wised up. The key is wet it thoroughly and when you remove to first bulk of hair wet it again…and continue.

I bought this when it was on an Amazon lightning deal, and boy did I get my money’s worth. Initially my cat seemed to be scared of it, but the next day (after leaving it out so he would get used to seeing it) when he came by for a petting, I had it ready near by. I put it on my hand and just held my hand out, letting him sniff/bite it until he rubbed his face on it himself. After this, he started purring right away and let me brush him like crazy. I got about a softball’s worth of hair off of him in 10 minutes. The attached pictures are after just the first session. I’ll let then do the rest of the talking.

I’m editing my review. I originally gave this product only 3 stars since it did not work for my particular dog. The retailer promptly contacted me and offered a full refund/help resolve any issue. I appreciate the quick customer service. To be clear I have a small Rat terrier/ Chihuahua mix. He has short straight hair. My dog certainly enjoys the massage he gets from the gloves. While it grabbed some hair, the hair did not stick to the gloves as well as it does with longer haired dogs. To provide some insight to everyone that is curious about how this would work on their short haired dogs.

We have four lovely furry feline friends who live with us. After replacing all our carpet with flooring we noticed major hair balls floating everywhere like tumbleweeds through the house. Obviously we needed to up our grooming skills. The first time we used it on our cats they weren’t sure about that “big hand” coming after them but it only took once before they started lining up and begging to be groomed. Within a couple of days the “tumbleweeds” had all but disappeared, and even the lint tray in our dryer was cleaner after each load. In addition to the cleanliness positives for this product our cats are calmer and happier. I call it Xanax for cats. Even our somewhat neurotic tabby has became calmer than she’s ever been. This is a great grooming tool and I highly recommend these gloves for any pet.

The curse of reading reviews….some people love it, others hate it. Cats are picky, and I don’t think these should get a bad review because someones cat didn’t like them. Why can’t you just return them? I return a lot of things and never any problem with Amazon. Anyway…My cats LOVE these. 1 cats really loves them, the other likes them OK. People complain about the hair not coming off well. Geez, you want perfection in everything? Yes its a little tricky to get hair off but if you do it right it peels off in almost 1 hand-shaped piece (see pics) . My 1 cats doesn’t like the brush much but likes these more because its like being petted. My other cat is a whore for these…I put one gloved hand by his face, which he rubs all over the glove while I brush his body with the other. He lets me do it for up to 10 mins before he gets tired of it, as most any cat will do eventually, if your arm holds out that long. When the fur you brushed off gets piled up on the glove, pull up around the edges and peel it off. It usually dines’t all come off in 1 piece unless you tired, which I did for this pic. I would be happy to answer and q’s. I have had cats all my life.

Bristles are so far apart it doesn’t collect hair. We bought this to use after a stripper/comb on golden retrievers. It is useless trying to brush hair loosened by the stripper. Using it solo the hair flies everywhere and are not captured by the brush. Sounded good but a real failure. Do not recommend.

Customer Reviews

I did. I find this brush easy to clean. I use it all the time on my cats and the fur can always be easily removed.I have a few of them and the biggest problem I have found is that the plastic parts on the end of the metal pricks meant to prevent the cat from getting hurt, well they fall off easily. Therefore, I find myself conflicted on if I should buy a new one/ return it, or just be really careful brushing my cats so as to not irritate them/ hurt them.

Rocky, my Maine coon threw up 5 of the biggest hair balls I’ve ever seen in one night, even though I comb him twice a day. This was disconcerting, and I knew I had to find a better product. Just a few clicks and I found this cool little blue brush with angled bristles and a self cleaning handle. I received the new comb the next day. Just after one use I pulled out more hair, then I had all year!!! The photo is after just three weeks..no joke! What’s awesome is Rocky love getting groomed with his new brush. I was even able to remove stubborn hair out of the carpet that the vacuum couldn’t, so I am thinking of getting a second one. This product works amazing and so does the self cleaning handle. Top marks to the designer. Rocky and I thank you!

Love this brush too much, cause while hile you are brushing, the tines are locked in place, all the way through the grill. The desigen is convenient and scientific, easy to use and effective.I highly recommend someone has pets buying it.It is a very help product.I love it. I had some bad experience with other brushes which are needle points so they are really hurt my dogs skin. And she doesn’t like this at all ! With this one with round point that time really protecting her skin. So now my dog not afraid at all when I am trying to brush her ! She is a poodle so I really need to take care her hair one of every another day. And another good thing about this brush is that the head could turning around so no matter my baby laying down or sit or standing. I could always find the perfect position to brush her ! So over all it’s a really good buy and the quality is nice ! Ps. I love this baby blue color just make me happy and I think my baby love his color too !You won’t regret it.

When we bought our house last fall, it came with a big, fluffy orange kitty whose owners evidently couldn’t be bothered to brush him, much less take him with them. We took him to the vet and found out he is 10 years old or so with an overactive thyroid. His fur was tangled and pretty matted. This brush has worked really well at getting the knots out and helping to make him look like a movie star! And he loves the soft bristles, even on his tummy.

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and she’s a little princess. I have tried several brushes to slick her fur. The regular slicker brush makes her yip and squirm. A bristle brush just doesn’t smooth out her long, fine fur. A wider spaced brush with plastic tips didn’t work either. A shedding brush with short teeth works well, but she still doesn’t like the pulling and any contact on her belly. This brush has given her that “floofy” look, soft fur and doesn’t bother her even with daily brushing. Well done!

I never wrote reviews, but this brush is literally the best thing that’s ever happened to my life. I have Maine Coons who do not appreciate being brushed under any circumstances. I have literally tried every brush and comb sold for pets over the last decade before I tried this one.I learned when the brother of one of my cats died, that this brother had been doing all of his grooming his entire life; he’s been a matted mess ever since, to the point he was getting shaved regularly under sedation at the vet. I have scars all over me from trying to brush him. He can only go to the groomer if he gets gabapentin first to chill him TF out. If I come at him with a comb, this usually laid back guy hisses and growls and swats and bites until I give up.But this brush. Every one of my cats lets me brush every part of them without complaint, even their back legs and belly! Don’t get me wrong, they still go to the groomer for deep work and baths so that I can keep my skin and eyeballs, but I can finally keep them from getting horribly matted between visits. Even my geriatric, arthritic, skin and bones cat likes to be brushed with it.Best.Brush.Ever.

He can only go to the groomer if he gets gabapentin first to chill him TF out. wow! what can I say? Okay… I’m REALLY honest about my reviews and I try to make them when I have the time so excuse me while I get all up in this little box that I get to type my feelings into. pretty sure I’m going to repeat myself a little because I just felt so excited to get this out.At first I was really excited about the Sleek EZ grooming tool, because I saw a lot of really good reviews from people. but then I saw a few that said “it’s kind of REALLY thinning out my pets hair”. I even saw a photo of of a cat with a red and irritated belly that was pretty much bald. So I thought, “I’ll just order it to try and if I don’t like it then I’ll send it back.” … I don’t like it! I don’t like it! I don’t like it!The teeth on the blade is literally a hacksaw stuck into a piece of wood. I’m not exaggerating either. I compared it to a hacksaw that I have and they are IDENTICAL. I got the 2.5″ brush so it was small enough to fit in my hand but the ends are blunt. They were cut (probably with the hacksaw attached) then the ends were lightly sanded. They are still pointy enough to be irritating on the palms, especially if you have a lot of pets to brush or a big animal to brush.. This isn’t the complaint that I have about it though. My complaint is that it’s a freaking hacksaw being marketed as a SAFE freaking pet hair grooming tool. The teeth on this brush are curved to the side and sharp. very sharp. I have a pet brush/grooming tool by ‘JW Pet Company’. The teeth on this tool, have up and down pointed teeth, kind of like the letters “MWMWM” BUUUT! the teeth are not sharp. I could brush my hand across the teeth on both brushes and the only one that would literally cut my hand in 2 or 3 or however many pieces you wanted, is the freaking Sleek EZ grooming tool. I have made a video review but the last few videos that I’ve tried posting on my other reviews, never posted because of some error with the uploading tool. I’ll try again so you can see exactly what I mean.I used the brush for a short amount of time and wasn’t brushing hard at all. you’re supposed to brush using small short strokes and that’s exactly what I did and it literally shaved off almost a bald spot on my cat. For the little amount of time that I used the brush and for the unnatural amount of hair that was shaved off of my cat, he is STILL shedding in the spot that I brushed him. Don’t get me wrong… my cat does shed a lot BUT after I brush him with my other brush, the shedding significantly lowers. The Sleek EZ didn’t do that. Of course people are going to be super excited because they are seeing buttloads of hair coming off right away in bushels so obviously that means it’s a great tool to use right? EFF NO! this is only taking a ton of hair off because you are scraping a sharp blade over it that is basically acting like a razor.STAY AWAY!!! rant over.

We have a GSD mix, and she sheds all year round, no matter how many times we brush her. She gets full tufts of fur that just come flying out of her, and we have tried all sorts of brushes and combs in the past to try and keep her shedding in check, but to no avail. When I saw ads for this product, I was skeptical. Really skeptical.I also worried that it might hurt our puppies, because it looked harsher than any of the other products that we have tried in the past.I WAS SO WRONG.Listen, whoever invented this thing, I just want you to know how much my husband and I love you. This thing is a GOD-SEND.The first time I ran this along our monster shedder, so much fur flew off of her, I was in shock. All of the fur that I couldn’t seem to get out with the other brushes (but could SEE with my eyes) just came out in chunks. There was so much fur everywhere, I had full softball-sized bunches of fur all over the ground. I kept looking at my pup to see if she was in pain, and she just plopped down in front of me with her eyes closing slightly, like I was giving her a massage.I promptly threw away all the other brushes that we’ve wasted our money on in the past, because this thing is all we need.Buy this now. You won’t regret it for a second. If my review has helped you in any way, please let me know, or hit “Yes” under this review. Thank you! 🙂

Product arrived today. I pulled this wooden block out of the box being EXTREMELY skeptical about this product working. I have tried plenty of other brushes and my 3 animals have ZERO tolerance for them. I read the reviews on this and decided I’d try out another tool.I tried SleekEZ out on my first cat since he was already laying down/sleeping. He didn’t move. I tried it on the other cat (who doesn’t like being groomed) and he stood still while I used this tool on him. Next challenge, my dog. He is a 75 lb GWP/Border Collie Mix. He stood still and allowed me to brush him without me bribing him. I am impressed with how well this tool worked. It didn’t pull their hair or irritate them. They barely acknowledged that I was combing them. The amount of hair was shocking. I’m sure it felt good having the dead hair brushed out with ease.Next, I had an idea to see if this tool removes hair from carpet/furniture. Lint rolling, using packing tape, and vacuuming only does so well. SleekEZ removed hair/dander that I couldn’t see on the recliners. Wow! What a tool. Definitely worth the money. Highly Recommend. I am so impressed I decided to write a review. One more thing, it’s comfortable to hold. Smooth grip.**In addition, A friend of mine was off to buy another tool and I let her borrow my sleekez… She bought one immediately. Both her cat and dog love the tool. My animals love this block… it’s bizarre and wonderful!

Even my geriatric, arthritic, skin and bones cat likes to be brushed with it.Best.Brush.Ever.

wow! what can I say?

My 1/2 Maine Coon (4 years old) refuses to be brushed. Squirming, yowling, twisting, and crying no matter what type of brush we have tried to use. His fur has been matted and his skin dry and flaky because we can’t care for him properly. Until now. This was the ‘one last try’ before just shaving him. Is miracle to strong of a word to use? He jumped in my lap for a cuddle and I pulled out the brush. He never moved and even stretched out so I could reach all of him. He wasn’t as thrilled when I did his tummy but he tolerated it. Day by day he is looking better all without fights over brushing. Plus the push button to bring the hair to the top of the brush is fantastic. No, it doesn’t push it completely off the brush but it is a pull off not a dig out situation that makes life easier! I’m buying a second one now so that when, inevitably, this one wears out we have a back up!

My kitty is a mix of fine hair and sensitive skin. So finding a brush that will allow me to give her a good bush was hard. I did find one that did give her a good bush down and she wold purr enjoying the pampering. However she would only allow me to brush her for so long or when she felt like it (as her skin is sensitive, so I could only brush her for a short time.). So I decided it was time to find her a new brush. When I came across this brush and saw the positive reviews. I figured why not give it a try. Now my kitty can’t wait to get brushed. She comes running for her pampering time and it get all the fine shedding hair while it is soft on her skin. Definitely very pleased with this product. Keep up the good work guys.It makes clean up easy and has the bead guards on the bottom of the brush protect her sensitive skin. The comb gives her a nice brush I’m down too.

Brush works great in my short haired domestic cat. Also works just as good on my long haired cat. Both love using it! The brush’s bristles are pretty fragile, though, most brushes of similar design tend to be due to the easy hair removal mechanism, so be sure not to bend/squish them or risk irreversible damage. The comb however, I can’t seem to find a good use for, nor do I see myself ever finding a use for it in the future. Four stars because it’s a good brush at a good price and that’s really the only reason I made this purchase 🤷
