Seriously. What wise mage came up with this thing? We have two cats. They HATE to be brushed. Despise it. They would rather swim the Nile before letting us brush them. That was u til yesterday when this little piece of magic arrived. They love this thing. They want head rub, back rubs, belly rubs. They are addicted to this thing like it’s crack. Oh it actually works too. I could make another cat from hair that came off the two of them. Not sure they would want that. They are only letting us live now because we make the magic brush work. Gotta go brushing services are being request…. demanded. If they figure out this thing works in either hand I am going to have to get another one.

Neat concept soft bristles that don’t hurt the cat but not near by any means. Good amount of fur stays in the “cup” but quite a bit flies everywhere while you’re brushing them. Written by a cat mom of 4 with all different fur types and lengths and have the same issue with all

Disclaimer – I’m a veterinarian, so I know way too much about different brushes and grooming implements.I have always had a love-hate relationship with slicker brushes… love because they’re effective and comfortable, and HATE because they are the absolute biggest pain in the butt to clean, especially without damaging the thin bristles, or bending them in such a way that they poke the animal uncomfortably. Now, I have a longhaired senior cat who has twice had to go under anesthesia for removal of massive hairballs. The last time, he received an Rx for a haircut from his Internal Medicine specialist. So we have been on an intensive hair management program – but he hates being brushed. So I’m constantly going through various brushes and combs. My go-to is the Furminator, but my main gripes with it are that it is uncomfortable for the cat (pulls his skin excessively at times) and its blades, even on the long-hair version, fill up with nearly every swipe. It is easy to clean, but when I have a squirming, annoyed cat in one hand, it is difficult to be constantly cleaning the blade out. But it absolutely pulls the most shed hair and undercoat with each swipe. This brush is 10x more comfortable for my cat, while still pulling a decent amount of shed hair. Cleaning it is AMAZING – just press the button, pull the pad of hair off, and it doesn’t fill up until after nearly a full session of brushing. It is not taking off as much hair as the Furminator, but the fact that he doesn’t get instantly annoyed and thus I can brush for longer and create a more positive experience for him is important.

I brushed off enough cat hair to have another cat. I would recommend this brush if you want to brush your fur babies bald. It won’t actually ever happen, them being bald, but it is so satisfying to see that fur pile up next you as you spend 30 minutes brushing your cat or dog. I’m starting to think Porkins doesn’t even have any skin, she must be made entirely of fur as it NEVER ENDS. She’s completely passed out now from all the brushing, she loved it. The push button to retract the bristles is fantastic and makes for easy clean up! Totally worth every penny, and I’m sure Porkins would agree as well, if she understood the basic concept of monetary values.UPDATE // 3 years have passed since I’ve purchased and reviewed this product. I used it extensively the brush has now come across an issue. I can’t say its the brush itself that is at fault, maybe it’s the constant push of the button to clear the fur that just couldn’t keep up with me, but the push button has now evolved into the strongest thumb workout ever. The resistance the button gives added a new feature to this brush that not only requires what I would measure as the strength of ten teenagers combined (9 of which are looking at their phones while the remaining one sadly their phone has died) has now forced me to realise my own weakness by testing my thumb strength. Some days I have to use BOTH of my thumbs to push down (quitters never win and winners never quit) until I feel that satisfying click as it locks into place. Other days my thumbs are so fatigued I can not bother to retract the bristles and opt for the age old method of cleaning the bristles manually (but those who never win AND never quit are filled with disappointment). 3 years and I still use this brush despite the easy fur removal hindered, possibly obsolete. I’d still recommend this brush as it reaches the undercoat of your fur overlords when they demand their daily brushing therapy.

I have had multiple dog brushes with these types of wires before. The best part about this brush is that the wires actually go back inside the brush when you’re not using it. It makes it easy to clean so you’re not bending in the wires while you’re trying to get the hair out and it also makes it so the wires don’t get bent when they’re just in your basket or your drawer or where ever you keep your dogs brushes. Because the wires go back inside it protects them so that when you need to use it it does not scratch your dog. Excellent product highly recommend it to anyone with the pets especially who needs regular brushing!

I’m new to the pet grooming game and I recently rescued a Persian cat of which needs constant grooming. He came with some matting and I tried scissors and even pet hair clippers but was afraid I’d cut his skin. This tool worked as advertised and myself and my cat Fatty are very pleased.

I have 2 Newfoundlands and the summer shed had just begun. They shed faster than my daily vacuuming can keep up with, but the summer shed made it infinitely worse. I wish this brush were wider with more teeth to the comb, but it is still a great product. In about an hour I had pulled off a pile of hair as big as my 150lb puppy. He is happier and cooler, and I am happy that all that fur is not on my floors, clothes, furniture, and walls!

My dogs love this. As for mats, it took a lot to even get a little one out. It was easier to just give my dog a big hair cut because it was making her uncomfortable. As for brushing however, it did a great job! It gets a lot of the undercoat out and my dog loved every second of it. Every time I would stop for just a few seconds she would just look at me and wait for me to keep brushing her and as soon as I would start again she would almost snore.

Part Maine coon super fluffy cat seemed to enjoy it. She should be the cat model for this product! She loves this for her back and sides, but not as much for her problem areas, so we had to stealth brush/comb/rake her underside. It removed much more fur and faster than I expected. If you look at the pictures and watch the video you will see the fur is literally flying. I recommend having a broom or vacuum close at hand or the fur will spread everywhere. The pictures were taken before we did her belly and haunches. With fall approaching she comes in the house with leaves and briars stuck to her and forming mats if we miss them right away. This should definitely help.

I would have never dreamed that something like this would remove as much undercoat as this does. I would have never even dreamed that my Border Collie even had this much loose hair. It’s rediculous.*EDIT* I didn’t realize it was cutting my Border Collies hair. I should have done some more research on it. My fault, not theirs. If you are looking for a comb that demats and cuts hair, this is an excellent choice.

We are both loving this brush! I don’t like cutting my kitties hair because I love him at maximum fluffiness and his hair appointments are way more expensive than mine; however, he gets matted really bad and sheds so bad. This brush gets his under coat really well and I’m hoping we won’t need to shave him nearly as often or at all! He seems to really love getting brushed with this as well.

I’m editing my review. I originally gave this product only 3 stars since it did not work for my particular dog. The retailer promptly contacted me and offered a full refund/help resolve any issue. I appreciate the quick customer service. To be clear I have a small Rat terrier/ Chihuahua mix. He has short straight hair. My dog certainly enjoys the massage he gets from the gloves. While it grabbed some hair, the hair did not stick to the gloves as well as it does with longer haired dogs. To provide some insight to everyone that is curious about how this would work on their short haired dogs.

We have four lovely furry feline friends who live with us. After replacing all our carpet with flooring we noticed major hair balls floating everywhere like tumbleweeds through the house. Obviously we needed to up our grooming skills. The first time we used it on our cats they weren’t sure about that “big hand” coming after them but it only took once before they started lining up and begging to be groomed. Within a couple of days the “tumbleweeds” had all but disappeared, and even the lint tray in our dryer was cleaner after each load. In addition to the cleanliness positives for this product our cats are calmer and happier. I call it Xanax for cats. Even our somewhat neurotic tabby has became calmer than she’s ever been. This is a great grooming tool and I highly recommend these gloves for any pet.

The curse of reading reviews….some people love it, others hate it. Cats are picky, and I don’t think these should get a bad review because someones cat didn’t like them. Why can’t you just return them? I return a lot of things and never any problem with Amazon. Anyway…My cats LOVE these. 1 cats really loves them, the other likes them OK. People complain about the hair not coming off well. Geez, you want perfection in everything? Yes its a little tricky to get hair off but if you do it right it peels off in almost 1 hand-shaped piece (see pics) . My 1 cats doesn’t like the brush much but likes these more because its like being petted. My other cat is a whore for these…I put one gloved hand by his face, which he rubs all over the glove while I brush his body with the other. He lets me do it for up to 10 mins before he gets tired of it, as most any cat will do eventually, if your arm holds out that long. When the fur you brushed off gets piled up on the glove, pull up around the edges and peel it off. It usually dines’t all come off in 1 piece unless you tired, which I did for this pic. I would be happy to answer and q’s. I have had cats all my life.

I ordered this kit and tried it on a Siberian Husky that was shedding her summer coat. The amount of hair that came off with the gloves was mind-blowing! You can see in the video and picture how much hair came off just from rubbing her for a few seconds! I would definitely recommend not starting unless you have the time to keep grooming until all hair is removed, as starting brushing and stopping in the middle may make the shedding worse. But if you have the time and energy to sit for a while and brush, this product definitely works!

Love the products. The slicker brush worked so well with my short haired dog. I love that the bristles retract to make hair cleanup easy. The grooming gloves worked well with both our short haired dog as well as our long haired dog. The only downside of the gloves is cleanup. It is hard to get all the hair off from the silicone but it didn’t hinder the performance of the gloves. I would definitely buy again.

I’m so grateful I purchased this kit for my cats! I have both a domestic short-furred cat and a long-fur cat and every day, I’m amazed at how much fur we’re able to groom from them! No more fur balls to clean up and they both get upset if I don’t groom them every morning! I’m going to buy this set for friends and family which have cats and dogs. The gloves work quite well and the fine-toothed comb is great for my short-furred cat and will be fantastic for dog owners as well. Thank you so much for making this kit available!

I definitely recommend buying this little package for grooming!I was looking for a brush for my Husky and didn’t want to pay a lot in case it didn’t work. When I saw this item I realized it came with clippers and a comb.I used the brush and it was amazing. The lock button stayed in place then I clicked it and all the hair just fell right out. Easy clean!!I needed some nail clippers too, but I am always afraid I will get into the quick of the nail. These clippers have a guard on them that won’t let you cut more than you need too. That guard can be moved if you don’t need it. I love them. For the first time I was actually able to cut my dogs nails on my own.The comb also works great. This is one of the best animal products I have ever bought. Definitely NOT a waste of money.

At nearly 70 years old, I have arthritis, carpal tunnel and tendinitis in both hands. When I first tried to use the brush and realized you have to push and hold the button down to extend the brush, and KEEP the button held down while you brush; I thought it was much to much work that way. Then I put on my glasses and saw the “push black button until it clicks” instruction. Well, that made a world of difference! I had my big old golden retriever brushed and beautiful in a matter of minutes. It seems well made and the self cleaning mechanism works much more efficiently than our previous self cleaning brush. I especially appreciate the fact that the brush is stored safely inside while not in use. My 3 rambunctious grandchildren can’t stomp on it and bend the bristles (as they have done before). The grooming tools included seem nice too. I’m too old to tackle clipping nails and such, but I really like the brush. I hope it lasts a while.Thank you for making such a great little gadget!Since this is day 1 of my ownership, I will give it some time before I address any additional stars. So for now, it’s 2 thumbs up!!!

All 3 items work great. Clippers cut through my Ratcha’s nails just fine, no splitting or file needed. The comb is her favorite, as it gives the best “butt scratches”. The self-cleaning brush does just that. However, you must bush the button in to keep the bristles out to brush your pet. When you release the button, the bristles retract, cleaning the brushed fur from the brush. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I would have given 5 stars if there was a locking mechanism for the brush. Luckily I have a small 6 pound dog, so my hand doesn’t cramp brushing her. If you have a bigger dog, this might not be the case.Edit: The brush does lock, the button is just really hard to push in.

When we got our Cairn Terrier puppy the breeder told us to get a slicker brush. Never heard of it but found a great one with this product. Our puppy loves getting brushed and this brush really removes the old, loose fur. It is the easiest thing to clean. Push the button and the fur is pushed up and you simply remove it. I would recommend this brush for any dog breed

Holy sheeeeet this thing is awesome. Even used on my boys I didn’t think shed a lot, this thing really gets all of the dead hair off in ABUNDANCE. The mechanics of this thing are great too. I hate trying to get hair out of animal brushes. Super convenient. I thought at first it would be too spikey for my animals but they love it! 10/10 would recommend.

The part that lifts up to remove the hair does not come up enough to clean. The last brush did such a great job, so I am disappointed in this brush. Does not meet my expectations. The brush cover is nice and the handle is comfortable, but I would rather have the bristles cleaned properly.

Works well for my Norwegian elkhound ‘Weegee’ and my Main Coon cat ‘Zero’ ! I also have a redtick coon hound, it does not work on Daisy’s fur but she is a short haired dog. Has saved me grooming costs on Weegee. If you have thick and long haired dog this is by far the best brush I have tried. There is no short term shedding and done with a Norwegian, they are amazing pets but shedding is 24/7 and grooming is much more labor intensive than a lot of breeds. The undercoat if not dealt with and the constant shedding can cause a lot of skin infections (their hair is just that thick). Without getting the shed/loose hairs out they will hold moisture and it can lead to very costly vet bills due to causing infections.I have cut our weekly grooming visit down to 1 time a month. I honestly thought this brush would just be another in the junk drawer, I have tried to so many over the years I have a pile of them we don’t even use. The push button empty is a finger saver too! So many brushes are sharp like needles and prick the skin when you attempt to clear the hair, this one no risk of self injury when you empty! Push the button over the trash and the hair slides right off. The brush is wide so it does a larger area in a shorter amount of time. My dog is indoor and outdoor and she is always in everything this does well at helping to pull out burrs too without pulling harshly on her hair.I see a lot of people complain not for cats. If you have a domestic short hair then no, I don’t think this brush would be a great fit. Not all pet items work for all breeds, short hair domestics cats and even short hair dogs do not require the same level of grooming as long hairs. I have a Main coon cat, he has long hair and the brush works well for brushing him to help prevent matting. Solid purchase, would recommend for people with long hair cats, or thick long hair dogs.

My wife wanted a brush that would remove excess cat hair, which our young male makes in abundance, though he is short haired. The wife was somewhat skeptical at first, as she thought the brush might be too large, but in use it works quite well for our growing four-pound feline. And the cat seems purrfectly OK with it while being brushed. It is super easy to clean, as the teeth of the brush retract, pushing the hair off all at once in a single clump that is easy to dispose of.

Does not retract completely. Part of brush still stays out making it scratch and injure hand. Sometimes after repeated button presses can get fur off but sometimes have to bang on surface to have fur disengage

First thing – yes, you can take kitty cat different ways.I get waxed on a regular basis and this feels so good! I use it when I’ve got a tough itch, in the mornings to help vitalizey face before I moisterize, and yes, during that grow out period after a good wax. It is super easy to clean too – soap and water is all you need. Now on to the real cat part.. I ended up having to buy a second one because every time I would go to use mine, both my cats would go crazy. I found them with it one morning, using it to scratch their cheeks. Both are long haired and get the furinator regularly, but they kept stealing this! One is diabetic and his skin is flaky, so now it is a nightly ritual– I spend time using this with coconut oil to help his skin and after he falls asleep, the other one jumps up for his turn.Honestly, whichever kitty you want to take care of, grab this little device!

Ok, i usually don’t write reviews unless I absolutely love the product. I have used it for 3 weeks and I have seen major improvement on my skin. I moved to Arizona last year after living my whole life in humid weather and my skin didn’t react well to the dry weather and hard water, I have been waxing for 15 years and my ingrowns here got to a point where didn’t matter how much I exfoliated before and after each wax and twice a week I lived with irritated infected pores on my legs, my skin did not shed the way is supposed to so all my hair was growing inside the skin my ingrowns were irritated and infected all the time, until enter this little brush! This little brush works wonders, if you are not used to exfoliating you might not want to press too much on the brush and do not use the brush in the same spot more than twice until you get use to it.I noticed that my hair is finally growing outwards and my pores are easy to open so I can get the infected hair out.I definitely recommend this, I use it on wet skin when i shower and inthe mornings before moisturizing

Was surprised at how big this actually was. Most exfoliaters I’ve had in the past barely took up any space in my hand. I have used this a few times on my legs and can already tell a difference. The instructions say you can use wet or dry but I’ve only used it in the shower and can tell a difference immediately in how soft my skin is!

Both are long haired and get the furinator regularly, but they kept stealing this! wow! what can I say? Okay… I’m REALLY honest about my reviews and I try to make them when I have the time so excuse me while I get all up in this little box that I get to type my feelings into. pretty sure I’m going to repeat myself a little because I just felt so excited to get this out.At first I was really excited about the Sleek EZ grooming tool, because I saw a lot of really good reviews from people. but then I saw a few that said “it’s kind of REALLY thinning out my pets hair”. I even saw a photo of of a cat with a red and irritated belly that was pretty much bald. So I thought, “I’ll just order it to try and if I don’t like it then I’ll send it back.” … I don’t like it! I don’t like it! I don’t like it!The teeth on the blade is literally a hacksaw stuck into a piece of wood. I’m not exaggerating either. I compared it to a hacksaw that I have and they are IDENTICAL. I got the 2.5″ brush so it was small enough to fit in my hand but the ends are blunt. They were cut (probably with the hacksaw attached) then the ends were lightly sanded. They are still pointy enough to be irritating on the palms, especially if you have a lot of pets to brush or a big animal to brush.. This isn’t the complaint that I have about it though. My complaint is that it’s a freaking hacksaw being marketed as a SAFE freaking pet hair grooming tool. The teeth on this brush are curved to the side and sharp. very sharp. I have a pet brush/grooming tool by ‘JW Pet Company’. The teeth on this tool, have up and down pointed teeth, kind of like the letters “MWMWM” BUUUT! the teeth are not sharp. I could brush my hand across the teeth on both brushes and the only one that would literally cut my hand in 2 or 3 or however many pieces you wanted, is the freaking Sleek EZ grooming tool. I have made a video review but the last few videos that I’ve tried posting on my other reviews, never posted because of some error with the uploading tool. I’ll try again so you can see exactly what I mean.I used the brush for a short amount of time and wasn’t brushing hard at all. you’re supposed to brush using small short strokes and that’s exactly what I did and it literally shaved off almost a bald spot on my cat. For the little amount of time that I used the brush and for the unnatural amount of hair that was shaved off of my cat, he is STILL shedding in the spot that I brushed him. Don’t get me wrong… my cat does shed a lot BUT after I brush him with my other brush, the shedding significantly lowers. The Sleek EZ didn’t do that. Of course people are going to be super excited because they are seeing buttloads of hair coming off right away in bushels so obviously that means it’s a great tool to use right? EFF NO! this is only taking a ton of hair off because you are scraping a sharp blade over it that is basically acting like a razor.STAY AWAY!!! rant over.

We have a GSD mix, and she sheds all year round, no matter how many times we brush her. She gets full tufts of fur that just come flying out of her, and we have tried all sorts of brushes and combs in the past to try and keep her shedding in check, but to no avail. When I saw ads for this product, I was skeptical. Really skeptical.I also worried that it might hurt our puppies, because it looked harsher than any of the other products that we have tried in the past.I WAS SO WRONG.Listen, whoever invented this thing, I just want you to know how much my husband and I love you. This thing is a GOD-SEND.The first time I ran this along our monster shedder, so much fur flew off of her, I was in shock. All of the fur that I couldn’t seem to get out with the other brushes (but could SEE with my eyes) just came out in chunks. There was so much fur everywhere, I had full softball-sized bunches of fur all over the ground. I kept looking at my pup to see if she was in pain, and she just plopped down in front of me with her eyes closing slightly, like I was giving her a massage.I promptly threw away all the other brushes that we’ve wasted our money on in the past, because this thing is all we need.Buy this now. You won’t regret it for a second. If my review has helped you in any way, please let me know, or hit “Yes” under this review. Thank you! 🙂

Product arrived today. I pulled this wooden block out of the box being EXTREMELY skeptical about this product working. I have tried plenty of other brushes and my 3 animals have ZERO tolerance for them. I read the reviews on this and decided I’d try out another tool.I tried SleekEZ out on my first cat since he was already laying down/sleeping. He didn’t move. I tried it on the other cat (who doesn’t like being groomed) and he stood still while I used this tool on him. Next challenge, my dog. He is a 75 lb GWP/Border Collie Mix. He stood still and allowed me to brush him without me bribing him. I am impressed with how well this tool worked. It didn’t pull their hair or irritate them. They barely acknowledged that I was combing them. The amount of hair was shocking. I’m sure it felt good having the dead hair brushed out with ease.Next, I had an idea to see if this tool removes hair from carpet/furniture. Lint rolling, using packing tape, and vacuuming only does so well. SleekEZ removed hair/dander that I couldn’t see on the recliners. Wow! What a tool. Definitely worth the money. Highly Recommend. I am so impressed I decided to write a review. One more thing, it’s comfortable to hold. Smooth grip.**In addition, A friend of mine was off to buy another tool and I let her borrow my sleekez… She bought one immediately. Both her cat and dog love the tool. My animals love this block… it’s bizarre and wonderful!

The instructions say you can use wet or dry but I’ve only used it in the shower and can tell a difference immediately in how soft my skin is!

wow! what can I say?

I was a little skeptical about buying this brush initially because of the not so stellar reviews. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and actually worked and worked AMAZINGLY. I have an english lab that sheds a ton and I had literally just taken him to the groomer and had them do the deshedding shampoo and he was shedding so bad still!I have a Miele canister vacum so the attachment worked like a charm. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is for the fact that sometimes the hose will come removed from the attachment but I would say that was 1 out of 10 times. Overall this has been a great purchase and I have recommended it to many friends who purchased one and love it too!

OMG Do I LOVE this attachment! Once our German Shepherd got over the fact I was “vacuuming her”, she loved her grooming session too! It filled the entire canister with her loose hair, and any fly aways, no problem, I already had the vacuum in hand. As for flipping the switch, much easier than regular grooming, where you stop, pull the hair out of the comb, and have to place it in the trash bag. The button takes a second to push, and even with our hairy dog, I could do two or three brush strokes before having to use it. This thing is amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who has a shedding dog!

My wife was contemplating our dusty, shedding dog after I brought home back from the woods, and said, “Wouldn’t it be great if someone combined a brush or comb with a vacuum cleaner?” I said, “Let’s check Amazon!” (Yes, I do have a bit of a Prime problem…) I found this in seconds on Amazon, hit One-Click and two days later it was on the doorstep. Yes, I did brush my dog the day I ordered it.We attached it to the extension hose on the shopvac, put the shopvac around the corner of the house and introduced the dog to the comb. Okay, he was about as skeptical as we were at first, but once I started combing him he wouldn’t let me stop. We have vacuumed out several dogs’ worth of shedding fur, dirt, ticks, and burrs over the last couple of months. I don’t know how we ever lived without this!It seems well made, comes with multiple adapters, and does exactly what I want it to.

The instructions say you can use wet or dry but I’ve only used it in the shower and can tell a difference immediately in how soft my skin is!

wow! what can I say?

The brush is nice. The design is good, and I believe it would be very effective to deshedd your dog. I gave it 4 stars because because I bought this item to use on a non shedding dog to help with matting. When I received the item it says in bold letters not to use on a dog that does not shed. Not really any problem with the item, but if it’s important enough to put on the label it should be in the description on an item that you receive by mail. Not expensive enough to return or make a big deal about, just something that you should be aware of.

Smaller than I wanted but the price was right. And it works pretty good on a husky

As a new dog owner I rely on reviews and ratings to help select items for my new pup. This item was one I selected due to all the positive reviews. I couldn’t wait to try it when I received it. My pup however seemed fine at first and then pulled away as if something hurt him. I then inspected the brush closely to find one of the bristles bent and the coating missing from the tip. I realized how awful that must have felt. I then removed it and resumed brushing. My pup again pulled away in discomfort. I couldn’t for the life of me understand what was wrong. I ran the brush along my own skin and was left with scratch marks in my forearm. I immediately felt awful for subjecting my puppy to this brush. The metal bristles are not sturdy nor are they coated enough to be comfortable. I couldn’t find anything positive about this brush other than the appealing color of it.
